For those of you interested in buying a commercial unit for your home kitchen, you should be aware that all commercial units are designed for daily restaurant environment "abuse." This means that the unit is opened and closed all day long, usually by someone's foot, and therefore, is built to last and to maintain the low temperatures. The compressors are heavier duty and thus draw more electrical power than a home refrigerator and since commercial units are installed in area of constant ambient noise, they are not insulated to prevent noise from the compressor area. In other words, these are great units with lots of storage room inside, but they will make more noise than you are used to and they will draw more power than your home fridge.
