This is a real success story. Imperial^TM started some years ago as a small restaurant equipment manufacturer. They have blossomed into a major player and expanded into the home market as well. They were one of the first to stream line their production, offering a stainless steel front standard on all their products. At lower prices, they soon grew. Their intro into the home market has been made through traditional foodservice channels however. There is no big budget for consumer advertising and no retail distributors to place local ads and dealer promotions. Mostly their product is sold through restaurant equipment dealers. Since their focus is still on foodservice equipment, this works just fine.

Imperial^TM does, however, make a nice product. Their domestic range is very basic and solid. If you want high flame cooking and a large oven capacity, these are the perfect unit. They have very heavy-duty top grates, 15,000 BTU top burners, and an oven cavity able to hold 18" x 26" full sheet pans. A stainless steel front, and a few options like a wok ring, casters, high shelf backsplash, front curb base and nifty stainless steel griddle cover. If you like to broil, they make a raised griddle/ broiler feature that works like a "salamander" broiler in a restaurant. The same burner that fires up to heat the thick steel griddle plate for perfect pancakes, also fires down for true top flame broiling. The prices are good; shipping is quick (usually within three weeks) and will definitely give you the pleasure of high flame restaurant style cooking at home.
