Even if the name doesn't ring a bell immediately, I guarantee you've seen and admired their products. There are others, but no other company makes a better line of solid hard maple butcher blocks, work tables, cutting boards and their new Cucina series home kitchen work center tables. I have one and love it. In fact, after 16 years, it really still looks great and the chopping surface is hardly worn down at all. Be careful of cheap "butcher block" tables, often they have a thin top board with a false front to make it look thick. Boos^TM tables are genuine, with a minimum of 1 ¾" thick maple cutting board tops. They have really expanded the line recently and now offer many styles and sizes including some with stainless steel bases and butcher-block tops.
