The cooler night-time temperature allows the plants to recuperate moisture lost during the day, intensify its colours and prolong the life of any eventual flowers. The thing which can be most damaging to a plant is an unexpected change in temperature. The Home Garden maintains a constant microclimate, protecting plants from sudden drops in temperature
The pots which come with the Indoor Greenhouse are light but robust. They have been specifically designed to be placed within the glass and steel structure. Their elegant form and neutral colour intended to harmonize with whichever plant you decide to cultivate. Holes in the bottom of the pots allow the aeration of the compost and the drainage of excess moisture, which is collected in a specially designed outer pot which can be removed
Most houseplants, unlike many succulents, originate from tropical areas, which are not only hot, but also very humid. Whilst watering the potted plants obviously increases the HUMIDITY of the potting compost, it is much more difficult to regulate the humidity in the air. The problem is most evident in the winter, when central heating inevitably brings with it a drop in the humidity in the air. The Home Garden is equipped with a vaporizing system, which allows you to increase the level of humidity inside
Most plants which are grown indoors are outdoor plants which have adapted to growth in domestic environments; they are acclimatized plants. Naturally, the closer the environment is to their natural habitat, the more likely they are to flourish. In order to meet the needs of different plants the Home Garden has three pre-set micro-climate settings:
Humid micro-climate, Dry micro-climate, Temperate micro-climate. Each micro-climate has different humidity levels, temperature, and periods of light exposure. It is also possible to create a personalised micro-climate by setting your own humidity level and internal temperature
